Strategies for Success
SAT Prep Course

Attention Juniors, Seniors, & Sophomores!
Take the MAY 1 or JUNE 5th SAT using
“Strategies For Success”
Indy’s MOST POPULAR SAT Prep Course!

______________________________________________________________

JUNIORS:   This Spring is your last shot at an SAT before your Senior year, and our short and sweet 12-hour course is the only one we know of with free re-takes, so you can come back for a refresher next Fall. It is also the only SAT prep course we know of that kids RAVE ABOUT! Why? Because the whole course is about how to get the HARD QUESTIONS right, which is the only way to raise your score. If you apply our strategies, you can get the HARD QUESTIONS right even when you have no idea of the right answer. Our course is so popular because IT REALLY WORKS!

SOPHOMORES:   If by the end of this year you’ve had Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry, it’s a good idea to take an SAT while the Math is fresh in your mind. Most colleges will take your highest score in each category of the test as your overall score.

  • EFFECTIVE -- average increase about 100 points!
  • EFFICIENT -- only 12 hours!
  • AFFORDABLE -- still only $495! Other courses are $700-$999, or more. If you register yourself and a friend, each of you gets a $50 discount. Also educator and sibling discounts.
  • FUN – Actually, it’s a RIOT—seriously!
  • MONEY BACK GUARANTEE (for first-time students if neither Math nor Reading
nor Writing score increases from a previous SAT)
  • FREE RE-TAKES -- Come back free before you take another SAT.
  • The first session is always FREE (if seating allows) to check it out. _________________________________________________________

Dear Parent and Student,

This letter is in regard to Strategies For Success, the BEST, and by far the MOST ENJOYED, SAT/PSAT prep course in Indianapolis! I have enclosed a flyer with information about upcoming courses in this, our 10th year of teaching the course here. In the last three years alone, more than 1200 Indiana high school students have chosen Strategies for Success as their means of preparing for the SAT/PSAT.

Here’s the deal: 90% of the kids in America get only 50-75% of the questions right, i.e., a score of 1500-1950.  Strategies For Success is all about HOW TO GET THE HARD QUESTIONS RIGHT even when you don’t know how to find the right answers. It is all about finding WRONG ANSWERS on HARD QUESTIONS in order to get to the right answer. AND IT ABSOLUTELY WORKS! In fact, it changes most kids’ whole attitude about the test, because WRONG ANSWERS ARE EASY TO FIND. It is the only way to really “beat the test,” and the only way to raise one’s score.
Some parents have told me, “We’re going to have our child take the test first and then see if he needs your course.” Unless their PSAT score is 190+, that is not a wise decision. If their score is below 170, it is absolutely not wise. Why? Because the SAT is about 90 minutes more child abuse than the PSAT, and few kids will do appreciably better on the SAT than they did on the PSAT unless they are EQUIPPED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO BEAT THE TEST—and that is what we teach.
In May 2009, USA Today reported on the results of a survey of 246 college admission officials nationwide regarding the effect of test preparation for college admission exams. About 1/3 of officials at 130 colleges that consider the SAT in admissions said a 20-point math increase or a 10-point reading increase would "significantly improve a student's chances of admissions" if all other factors in a student's application were the same.
It only makes sense that both a student and his/her parents would do whatever it takes to help the student prepare for this rather critical test. No one need go into it without knowing exactly how to deal with every aspect of the test. In regard to Strategies For Success, “whatever it takes” is not $700-$1000 of your money or 20-50 class hours of the student’s time. Besides our more expensive competitors (it is not our philosophy to have you pay us for your child to take practice SATs), your choices are expensive tutors, “boring” (according to the kids) and non-interactive CD ROMs, online courses, or books. Many high schools also have their own courses, but few teach the types of strategies required to make a difference on the SAT.
A unique feature of our program is that any student may retake the course, or any part of it, prior to any other SAT he does – FREE! And our course is BY FAR the most entertaining.
Yours for students’ self-esteem, $cholarship$, and success,

John A. Lynn
